How does Osmosis affect the movement of water molecules

Osmosis is the process by which water molecules move from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration. This process is driven by the difference in solute concentration between the two areas. When the solute concentration is higher in one area than the other, the water molecules will move from the area of lower concentration to the area of higher concentration in order to equalize the solute concentrations. This process is known as osmosis.
