Sloths live in South America because the tropical rainforest climate provides them with the perfect environment for their slow-paced lifestyle. The warm, humid climate and abundance of trees provide them with plenty of food and shelter. Sloths also have few natural predators in the rainforest, making it a safe place for them to live.
