How are bacteria transferred from one culture tube to another?

Bacteria can be transferred from one culture tube to another using a sterile loop or pipette. The loop or pipette should be sterilized with an alcohol flame before use. The loop or pipette should be inserted into the culture tube containing the bacteria and a small amount of the bacteria should be transferred to the new culture tube. The loop or pipette should then be sterilized again before being used to transfer bacteria to another culture tube.
