Find the resultant of two vectors 3 units and 4 units acting at a point 0 at angle of 45° with each other

If the 4 vector is along the x axis and the 3 vector is 45 degrees above then for the resultant R:

Rx = 4 + 3 cos 45 = 6.12
Ry = 3 sin 45 = 2.12
|R| = sqrt (6.12^2 + 2.12^2) = sqrt ( 37.5 + 4.49) = 6.48
tan angle above x axis = 2.12 / 6.12 = .346
so angle = 19.1 degrees
