3 POINTS X,Y & Z lying on the same horizontal plane are such that the bearing of X & Y from Z are 300 degrees & 280 degrees.if the bearing of Y from X is 210 degrees & /YZ/=13cm

a)find the bearing of Z from Y
b}calculate the distance of Z from X

a)find the bearing of Z from Y

..... After making a sketch using your information, I found that bearing
to be 100°

b) I also have XYZ as a right-angled triangle, and
XZ/13 = cos20°
XZ = 13cos20 = appr 12.2 cm

THANKS

PLEASE HOW DID YOU GET 100 DEGREE.PLS TRY TO EXPLAIN FURTHER

Place a north-south, east-west sketch over each of the X, Y, and Z points

Using parallel lines and "alternate" angles you can find every angle
in your sketch. Just fill them in, even though it might look a bit messy

Notice the bearing of ZX and ZY differ only be 20°, and from the first bearing of 300° you would have 60° from the vertical. So that would leave
10° to complete the right angle between north and west.
Now look at the angle of the bearing from Y to Z. I see a right angle plus
the alternate angles of 10°, and 90+10 = 100

THANKS SO MUCH

HOW WILL YOU GET 60 DEGREE FROM THE FIRST BEARING(300 DEGREES)

HOW IS ANGLE XYZ A RIGHT ANGLE

I DON'T UNDERSTAND

I THOUGHT ANGLE z IS THE RIGHT ANGLE

i think i understand your method now
