Solve 2g ≤ 10.

A. g ≥ 20
B. g ≥ 5
C. g ≤ 10
D. g ≤ 5

By the way this is not part of a specific quiz. So giving all the letters to a quiz that has this question wont help me like most people do)) please explain this to me ^^

solving an inequality is (almost) the same as solving an equation.

In this case, just divide both sides by 2 to get
g ≤ 5

The only catch is that if you multiply or divide by a negative value, you change the direction of the inequality. For example,

-2g < 10
g > -5
It's just a shortcut way of moving things to the other side of the inequality.
-2g < 10
0 < 10 + 2g
-10 < 2g
-5 < g
since adding and subtracting do not change the direction.
