There are many dams of various sizes around the world. Dams are used for water systems, flood control, water supply and hydropower. But apart from these positive factors, there are also many negative factors associated with dams. Dams have a negative impact on the world, devouring important natural resources, destroying untamed natural habitats, affecting endangered species and producing harmful ozone-depleting substances.
Initially, the dam occupied a land rich in important assets. Dams require vast land as floodplains for water storage.
