Which type of solution would you obtain when a student adds 50 g of sylvite to 100 mL of water at 60ºC
1 answer
Sylvite is essentially KCl. I will assume no impurities. A google search finds the solubility of KCl @ 60 C to be 45 grams/100 g H2O which is about 44 grams KCl/100 mL @ 60 C so 50 g would be a saturated solution.
