Create an image that symbolizes the global patterns of wind and air currents. It should depict the Northern and Southern Hemispheres of Earth with clear divisions along the equator and notable latitudinal lines, such as 0°, 30°N, 60°N, 0°S, 30°S, and 60°S. Use arrows to show the directions of prevailing winds and portray the difference in airflow between the trade winds and polar easterlies. The Coriolis effect influencing the air's movements should be subtly indicated. However, the image must be purely visual without any textual explanations or notations.

Over which part of the globe do the prevailing winds blow west to east? (1 point)

between 0°S and 30°S latitude

between 60°S and 90°S latitude

between 30°N and 60°N latitude

between 0ºN and 30°N latitude

Which is a difference between the trade winds and the polar easterlies?(1 point)

The trade winds blow in the Northern Hemisphere, and the polar easterlies blow in the Southern Hemisphere.

The trade winds tend toward the right, and the polar easterlies tend toward the left.

The trade winds blow from west to east, and the polar easterlies blow from east to west.

The trade winds blow near the equator, and the polar easterlies blow near the poles.

What does the Coriolis effect describe?(1 point)

the uneven heating patterns between the equator and the poles

the density of hot and cold air

the circulation pattern of air near the equator

the direction of air currents in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres

Which change would you expect to observe as you travel from 15°S latitude to 15°N latitude?(1 point)

the direction of air currents

the wind direction

the convection pattern

the density of air

PLEASE HELPP

wow thanks so much answer man not!

School is doing a disservice by trying to force kids to memorize, that's not real life. When you become an adult and you don't know an answer, it happens a lot, you use Google or duckduckgo. We should be teaching how to use resources properly instead of doing the impossible. Memories fade, right? So instead use the resources that are available to you and you will be preparing yourself for the real world not some make believe world schools want you to believe. Learn how to balance a bank account, how to pay bills, those things are important not 99% of what they teach in schools. Good luck and hopefully everything works out in the end.

1) Over which part of the globe do the prevailing winds blow west to east?

100% correct as of 2022 yw :)

@honey is 100% correct also to the people that say we are cheating we are not we are checking our answers seeing what we got wrong and fixing it or we are stuck and cant find out the answer so we get help.

1: D (between 30°N and 60°N latitude)

2: D (The trade winds blow near the equator, and the polar easterlies blow near the poles.)
3: A (The direction of air currents in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres)
4: D (the direction of air currents)

also why do people keep trying to reprimand us on here.seriously stop accusing us of cheating if you are on here than you had to look up answers too.you are contradicting yourself.and you cant get our info on this site so stop saying we are caught.😐it is irritating.👿

btw ty to honey and Lil for the answers i got a 100%

Thank you xsquad! You were a great help! I'm failing science. Ugh!

And don't NONE OF YOU let Answer Man scare you! My mom works with computers, and she knows I use this website and she told me that there is NO WAY Connexus or any other school will know that you are using this site unless you're stupid enough to copy and paste someone's personal answers to the questions that you have to write your own stuff. If we share the answers to multiple choice questions, or make sure no one uses our stuff, then they will never know because they cannot look to see whose IP addresses are using the Jiskha site since they don't own the site. DUH!

stop using caps just say the answers dont argue

baba boy

The fact that people are cheating is cause probably there having trouble studying or not listening In class, which would be more difficult for them to process the answer, since they all have there cameras off You can’t tell if there doing something else, or just playing video games secretly. Let them figure out Which is right and which is wrong, i know because I did this a lot I didn’t pay attention in class and made me lose motivation to go to class, and not pay attention to the speaker. So yeah let these people do what they want and not make them mad just because we’re telling them to not cheat. They won’t even understand and let there pity comebacks out of there mouth. And @Answer man I completely agree as well. I don’t recommended cheating just do it on your own and pay attention in class and study more you’ll get the hang of it if you do.

i have 5 questions-

I know cheating is not right but that doesnt mean you need to give the wrong answers. Also they dont help much with qeustions

@ Honey is right I needed to check my answers

Oh boy

What is happening

Among us imposter is 100% correct

you ca tell if there correct or not by seeing how many people marked it correct. on the bottom where it says there name, it will let you click the thumbs up or thumbs down. if there more thumbs up then thumbs down then its probably correct. another way to check if there correct is if everyone says they are

number 3 is the direction of air currents in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres

this was answered by an imposter like 20 posts ago and yall still tellin ppl the answers, ALSO, YALL STILL HERE FROM oh, nvm it was just in 2021, its not that old

The bot is garabage who agrees?!

ANSWERS PLEASE !

I some one knew what coudn't they do it

@Arlo, TYSM, YOUR CORRECT :D

@Goo, your incorrect
@fv your example was very clear and I appreciate it!!

I got 1 out of 4 right.

backdoor labrador

(if they dont need the site then how they know it exists unless they google questions to cheat!)

I'm sorry, I do not understand what you mean by "backdoor labrador". How can I assist you with your original question?

(3) The trade winds blow near the equator and the polar Easterlies blow near the poles.

Teacupcar THERE ARE ONLY 2 GENDERS!!! God made man and woman which means that they/them is not used if someone is a girl or boy they/them is used on cyberspace so unless someone tells their gender we say thay have the wrong answer but @answer man has man in his name so we say HE has the wrong answer.

P.S. answer man I was just making an example so please don't take offense.

People on this site saying "He or She" in a sentence don't understand that there are more pronouns than that. So when referring to somebody you don't know the pronouns for, use "They/them."

Example:
"His or her answer is wrong."
goes to,
"Their answer is wrong."
This keeps it so people with other gender identities or pronouns can feel welcome and supported, as sticking to "He or Her" can lead to misgendering.

@Goo

Their is more then 2 genders, God made man and women yea, BUT. what about intersexals? people born with both things? (there is also 72+ genders by choice) Now, people don't only go by the basic she/her/hers, he/him/his, if people want they could go by they/them/theirs if they feel more comfortable. girls and boys can go by anything like, neo pronouns. "@answer man has man in his name so we say HE has the wrong answer." you dont know if they go by he/him/his, that could be very offensive to someone. but see i use "dude, bro, man" on my friends that are girls. so @answer man could be a girl. dont go assuming stuff, im not saying your wrong, they could completely be a boy.

HONEY YOU MADE ME GET A 2/4 WTF

and its only for 6th grade

Guys don't cheat on tests in the end its not gonna be good.

HERE ARE THE ANSWERS TRUST ME:

1:A
2:B

@answer man I completely agree that you shouldn’t cheat but let them figure it out the hard way

Exactly

Oh and next time dont cheat, especially if your violating connexus's terms of service... If they find out you will be in trouble.

first is a 2 is c 3 b 4 is d

a, d, b, c

(I dont recommend cheating on tests )
