Find the value of this integer expression: − 2( 3+ −4 + −8 +7)

With Distribution and without Distribution.

This is my answer with distribution can u check it?
2(3+-4+-8+7)=
(-2)(3)+(-2)(-4)(-2)(-8)+(-2)(7)=
-6+8+16-14=
4

And then i don't know what it is without distribution but I'll figure it out just check that one please thank you so much❤️

Or anyone else can help just pls help😥😥😥🤢🤢

Is it right guys?

ms. sue is r.i.p.

Yeah, um since last november I heard 😶

Your answer using the distributive property is correct. You correctly distributed the -2 to each term inside the parentheses and then simplified the expression to get the value of 4.

Now let's solve the expression without using the distributive property.
-2(3+(-4)+(-8)+7)

First, let's simplify the terms inside the parentheses:
-2(-4) = 8
-2(-8) = 16

Now, rewrite the expression without the parentheses:
-2(3) + 8 + 16 + 7

Next, perform the multiplication:
-6 + 8 + 16 + 7

Finally, combine like terms:
-6 + 31 = 25

Therefore, the value of the expression without using distribution is 25.
