Please help, I dont understand any of this, this question is on a math website we usin in school, this lesson is late i dont understand and have no clue at all on how to solve it.
The Bagel Club at Middle Township High School sells bagels to teachers for $two each. Each day they spend $fourteen on supplies.
How many bagels did the club sell on Thursday if their profit was $20
Number of bagels is your unknown, (look at the final question)
let that number be n
each costs $2, so the cost of n bagels is 2n dollars
profit = income - expenses
20 = 2n - 14
add 14 to both sides
34 = 2n
divide both sides by 2
34/2 = 2n/2
17 = n
So the sold 17 bagels
