The table shows two cell phone plans that offer free minutes for each given number of paid minutes used. Pablo has Plan A and Sam has Plan B

Plan A
Free Minutes=2
Paid Minutes=10

Plan B
Free Minutes=8
Paid Minutes=25

a. What is Pablo's ratio of free to paid minutes?
2:10 or 2/10=1:5 or 1 free minute to every 5 paid minutes

b. What is Sam's ratio of free to paid minutes?
8:25 or 8 free minutes to every 25 paid minutes

c. Does Pablo's cell phone plan offer the same ratio of free to paid minutes as Sam's? Explain.
My Answer is-No it does not
I am stuck on answering how do they want me to explain this?

Can you please help and check all my answers to make sure if I got them right or wrong

heh, i have the same math problem for homework today.....

Pablos Ratio: 2:10

Sams ratio: 8:25
Does Pablo's cell phone plan offer the same ratio?
No, because 2:10 and 8:25 are not equivalent,

I think I understand now a little more. So the answer would be No Pablo's cell phone plan does not offer the same ratio of free to paid as Sam's because Pablo's cell phone plan provides free minutes which are basically equal to the paid minutes.

Would I be correct?

Who is here because of GOMATH I hate it but this is my little cheat sheet TYSM for this guys you are a life saver

1 : 5 = 8 : 40

If 1 ticket costs $5, how much will 8 tickets cost?

I get it more clearly now with you providing this example. Wow you are good at math. I really appreciate your help.

I got the same question. Though I don't know what to say for c. I do know that the answer is no. Please help.

dude i need help myself with a b and c and 11 ouchhh

For c the explanation would be No,Pablo's cell phone is not the same ratio as Sam because they are not equal to each other and Sam's phone plan is greater than Pablo's plan. (you have to change the ratios into a decimal then you will see which is greater)

WAAAAAH

i have the same thing all the other websites blockewd the answers tryna find out if its correct need helppppppppppppppppppppppppp

what sam;s ratio of free to paid minutes

A and B should be easy. C is a little difficult because it asks us to explain. Explanation: No, the ratio isn't the same. To make the question easier, we need to make the same denominator for both ratios. 2/10, or 1/5 x 5/5 = 5/25. And, 5/25 isn't equal to 8/25. We can also notice that 8/25 is bigger than 5/25. So the ratios are not the same. And, Plan B has a greater ratio, because 8/25 > 5/25.

5/25 isn't equal to 8/25. We can also notice that 8/25 is bigger than 5/25. And, Plan B has a greater ratio, because 8/25 > 5/25.

well, if Pablo gets 1 free minute for every 5 paid,

then he would get 8 free minutes for every 40 paid,
Sam is getting only 25 paid minutes for every 8 free ones

Let me ask you how did you find out that Pablo would get 8 free minutes to every 40 paid?

Thank you so much for all the help my daughter needed help with the same problem
