How many pounds does Tanisha need?
hi i am stuck this problem Don't no how to sov its hard can you help me to
To determine how many whole bags Tanisha must buy in order to have enough potatoes, we need to know how many pounds of potatoes she needs in total.
Let's say Tanisha needs x pounds of potatoes.
Since potatoes are sold in 2.25-pound bags, we can divide the total weight needed by the weight of each bag to find the number of bags required.
Number of bags = Total weight needed / Weight per bag
Number of bags = x pounds / 2.25 pounds
If the result is a whole number, Tanisha must buy that many bags to have enough potatoes. If the result is a decimal, Tanisha will need to round up to the nearest whole number since she cannot purchase a fraction of a bag.
For example, if Tanisha needs 10 pounds of potatoes:
Number of bags = 10 pounds / 2.25 pounds = 4.44
Since 4.44 is not a whole number, Tanisha will need to round up to 5 bags in order to have enough potatoes.
So, the number of whole bags Tanisha must buy depends on the total weight of potatoes she needs.
