An educational scene showing two tables with x and y values. The first table displays values: 8 and 28, 16 and 56, 20 and 70. The second table displays values: 40 and 32, 28 and 16, 16 and 12. Above each table, a light bulb symbol indicating an idea or question, to represent the concept of mathematical queries. Please make sure the image contains no text.

I don't know if the questions get switched for different people so here are the actual answers (not just the letter I see correct on my screen)

Hello, I see my fellow high schoolers having trouble with the unit test. That's okay. I used to use this website because I was too lazy to study and thought I was dumb. Let me tell you, you can definitely do this just dedicate one day to review the whole unite and you'll be good I promise. I was the stupidest in my class but I got the hang of it because I tried for the first time in 3 years. So please, for the sake of your future study even though it seems nearly impossible. I almost didn't make it into high school this year because I cheated all the way from 5th grade to 8th which is really detrimental to be honest. It may not seem like it now but it's going to give you a hard time later on. I only got in to high school because of covid if I'm being totally honest but from here on out it's what you do to change that matters. I went from all f's to b and a grades which I never thought was possible until I tried. Last thing, I don't know what's going on in your life but trust me it's worth it to put in the effort for yourself.

From one of you.

This is confusing

Alright everyone. I got 20/22 - All answers below are the right ones tho.

IF YOU SEE ANY OF THESE ANSWERS ARE NOT MATCHING WITH WHAT YOU HAVE ON YOUR TEST, ~ DO NOT LISTEN TO ME. ~
Use Desmos for graphing, I can't put pictures - If you see me mention desmos, then use it for that question.
Unit 6 : Lesson 10; Linear Functions Unit Test
1. yes; y = 1.625
2. no; y does not vary directly with x
3. I graphed on Desmos - It's a positive slope
4. Also on Desmos - Positive slope
5. I got this wrong, but the right answer is : 51/1; your car travels 51 miles every 1 hour.
6. 1/3
7. -2/3
8. I said infinity, which was wrong, but the right answer was 'undefined'
9. y - 3 = 5 (x - 8)
10. y + 6 = -5/8 (x + 10)
11. y - 16 = 8 (x - 2)
12. it's straight-up, at y = 0 and x = -3. I used Desmos.
Hey, look!! You're halfway!! Keep it up ! <3
13. 5x + 8y = 24 (i guessed this one but ig it was right lmao)
14. y = 3x + 4
15. perpendicular
16. neither
17. y - 9 = -3/7 (x + 4)
18. The functions have the same shape. The y-intercept of y = |x| is 0, and the y-intercept of the second function is -3.
19. The two graphs have the same shape but the second graph is shifted two units left.
20. The point of the V is at -5y. also on Desmos.
21. Desmos!!! Point of the V is at 4x !
22. Positive Correlation
Hint for 23, ;)
23. Where is the decimal rounded?
24. Go to brainly and find question 19141995
I'm not sure if this is right since my essay questions haven't been graded yet but I could barely read the question so yea. :P

I am so confused. What are the real answers. Just in case there are diffferent test , here is the first question for mine. 1. For the data in the table, does y vary directly with x? If it does, write an equation for the direct variation. X Y

Anyone still need answers ???

Totally makes sense. Good job Jiskha.

“i give correct answers” is right i got the same score as he did from aron’s and i checked the questions

Oh also I am a really slow learner so if I can do it I promise you, you can too

1) C

2) A

so are these the correct answers? because there are 3 different test answers, and idk which one is correct.

Yeah there are so many test answers

I just want to say it, every math test changes every couple weeks out with like 3 diff questions. So don't trust the people who gave answers with just the letters. If they have a good full answer like @Helper than see if ur questions are the same as theirs. BAI

All you have to do is plug in the value for x in each of those equation and see if you get the correct y value according to your table. For example,

y=3.5x
y=3.5(8)=28

Yet not all are the right answers

I go to the minnisota connexus school and none of these are right

wait so what are the correct answers bc i didnt do this whole unit so now im stuck...

everything is so confusing

anwsers????

OMG WHATS THE ANWSER

sorry if I miss one, but this should get you a good grade.

lmao i got 11/22 or sum like dat each time i checked the answers with each of the answers, so basicaly seach for the answers on a dif site or just guess ig

what is an answer for 23 nd 24 need help

am I right or what? XD hope the kids now adults from 5 years back passed the Academy.

Heres the answers they might have changed them but this is recent

I need to bring my grade up if anyone here can get me an 85% or higher that would mean the world to me

Hi i have the answers does anyone still need help

any one have the answers to the semester exam

I'm gonna come back and submit my results, good luck everyone !!! <3

i haveee until 11:59...

for numbers 23 and 24 the short answers are just little essays to answer the question not actually the answer btw. hope this helped cause I struggle in math like plenty others.

Answer: You can be reasonable and lean mainly in that direction because it is close. Since there is a strong negative correlation in the correlation coefficient, it is most likely it will be that correlation. (i got a 2/2)
25. A sports medicine major wanted to conduct an experiment to determine if there is a correlation between
(2 points)
the members of the soccer team's leg strength and the time it takes for them to sprint 40 yards. He sets up the following test and records the data:
Every day for a week, he counts how many times each player can leg press 350 pounds. The following week, he has each player sprint 40 yards every day. The table shows the average number of leg-press repetitions and the average 40-yard dash time (in seconds) for seven randomly selected players. What is the equation of the line of best fit? How many seconds should he expect a player to take to run 40 yards if that player can do 22 leg-press repetitions? Round any values to the nearest tenth, if necessary. (2 points)
Answer: The equation of the line that is best fit obtained is- y=0.1197x + 9.2741
where as- x = leg press (the predictor variable) y = 40 yard dash (the predicted variable) the slope would be- 0.1197 and the intercept is- 9.2741
He expects a player to run 40 yards if that player can do 22 leg press repetitions= x y=0.1197(22) + 9.2741
У=11.9075
y=11.9 seconds is our answer (i got a 2/2)
