Visualize a white canvas with a four-part grid, each containing a different equation. No text. In the first part, illustrate a line passing through the points (-2,5) and (1,4). The second part carries a steep line illustrating a slope of -5/3. The third part should point out two coordinates, (6, y) and (10, -1), on a gently rising line indicating a slope of 1/4. Finally, the fourth part shows a straight vertical line.

1. What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-2, 5) and (1, 4)?

a) -3
b) -2
c) -1/3
d) 1/3***

2) a line has slope -5/3. Through which two points could this line pass?
a) (12, 13),(17, 10)
b) (16, 15), (13, 10)***
c) (0,7), (3, 10)
d) (11, 13), (8,18)

3) The pair of points (6, y) and (10, -1) lie on a line with slope 1/4, What is the value of y?
a) -5
b) -2
c) 2***
d) 5

4) what is the slope of a vertical line?
a) -1
b) 0***
c)1
d) undefined

Thanks sm -c :)

For me the answers are

1. C. -3/1
2. D.(11, 13), (8, 18)
3. B. -2
4. D. undefined
5. D. 55/1

1. C

2. D
3. B
4. D
5. D

can confirm -c:) is correct 100%

Heres the new Unit 6: Lesson 1 answers

1. C
2. D
3. B
4. D
5. D

-1/3

(11,13)(8,18)
-2
undefined
55/1

For Algebra 1 students in Connexus (Lesson 1, Unit 6: Rate of Change and Slope), these are what I found my answers to be:

1. -1/3
2. (11, 13) and (8, 18)
3. -2
4. Undefined
5. 60 Miles per Hour

-c:) is right

Thank you @-c :)

last one was b for me but the rest were correct on -c :)

It can also change too

1. -1/3
2. (11,13)(8,18)
3. -2
4. undefined
5. 55/1

As of 10/28/21, i got a 5/5.

The correct answers are:
1. -⅓ or -1/3
2. (11, 13), (8, 18)
3. -2
4. undefined
5. 55/1

yooo thanks -c :) i got 5/5 100% u cool dude

now its 55/1 for the last question post-it is right

Thanks, We Stan Cupcakes. 100%

all yall so smert nwn

im guessing my answers changed or were numbered differently but my 5th question was d.165 so dont choose that, the right answer is 60, which i had that under B so thats prob why i got it wrong but everything else is good so yeah!

Anonymous that posted oct 12, 2020

is right!!
I took the test

Anonymous is correct not anon

who else thinks its sad that they almost never change the answers

For Algebra 1 students in Connexus (Lesson 1, Unit 6: Rate of Change and Slope), As of 9/10/2021, the Answers are:

1. -1/3
2. (11, 13) and (8, 18)
3. -2
4. Undefined
5. 60 Miles per Hour

bruh- its just sad they haven't changed any answers i mean not complaining tho

-c :) is wrong its

c
d
b
d
b
but it could change at any time

#2, b) would give you a slope of 5/3

so you need d)

#3.
(y+1)/(-4) = 1/4
4y + 4 = -4
4y = -8
y = -2 , so b)

4. the slope of any vertical line is undefined
(the slope of a horizontal line is 0)

Thank you

what is the slope = -1/3

a line has slope = (11, 13) (8, 18)
the pair of points = -2
what is the slope of a vertical line = undefined
the table below = 55/1

that is as of 2022👍

Thank You

Thanks c- :)

sssnipperwolf is correct for her first comment idk about the other.

Thanks everyone you saved my grade and my birthday party

A coordinate plane with a line passing through points (1, 2) and (4, 4)

The slope of the graphed line is . Which formulas represent the line that is graphed? Check all that apply.
y – 1 = (x – 2)
y – 2 = (x – 1)
y – 4 = (x – 4)
f(x) = x +
f(x) = x +

Answer: Rate of Change and Slope Quick Check

C. -1/3

D. (11,13) (8,18)

B. -2

D. Undefined

D. 55/1

#1

slope = (5-4)/(-2-1) = - 1/3 , so c)

-c :) is still right in 2020

and I like that they never change them Ahon

V is right

did you listen

1. -1/3

2. (11,13)(8,18)
3. -2
4. undefined
5. 55/1
