Janet: 73
Linda: 73 + 28 = 101
Alan: 101 + 17 = 118
Sam: 118 - 33 = 85

To find out how many more coins Sam has than Janet, we first need to determine how many coins each person has:
Janet: 73 coins
Linda: 73 + 28 = 101 coins (28 more than Janet)
Alan: 101 + 17 = 118 coins (17 more than Linda)
Sam: 118 - 33 = 85 coins (33 fewer than Alan)
Now, to find out how many more coins Sam has than Janet, we subtract Janet's number of coins from Sam's number of coins:
85 - 73 = 12
So, Sam has 12 more coins than Janet. Your answer of 12 coins is correct!
