0.15g of hydrogen chloride HCl is dissolved in water to make 8.0L of solution. What is the pH of the resulting hydrochloric acid solution?

1 answer

  1. First find the moles of HCl by dividing .15/36.45 and then once you find the moles divide that by the liters given which in this case is 8 and that will give you the molarity which you can plug into -log(H+) and that should give you 3.3 as the answer.
