Straight line of form y = m x + b
here m = -2
b = -5
When x = 0, y = b
so mark the point (0,-5)
now the slope is -2 so from (0,-5) go right one and down five and mark point (1,-10)
Draw a straight line through those two points.

The given expression is a linear function in the form of f(x) = -2x - 5. This means that for any value of x you substitute into the function, you will get a corresponding value of y.
To find the value of y for a given x, you simply need to substitute the value of x into the function and evaluate the expression. Let's say you want to find the corresponding y-value when x is 3.
Substitute x = 3 into the function:
f(3) = -2(3) - 5
Multiply -2 by 3:
f(3) = -6 - 5
Combine like terms:
f(3) = -11
So, when x is 3, the corresponding y-value is -11.
You can repeat this process for any value of x to find its corresponding y-value.
