European Explorer

Journal 1:
Today marks the beginning of my journey to explore new lands and seek out riches for my homeland. The call of adventure and the promise of wealth have driven me to set sail across the vast ocean. The conditions aboard the ship are rough, with cramped quarters and limited supplies. However, we have the latest inventions such as compasses and navigational tools to guide us on our journey. The days are long and the nights are cold, but we press on in search of new lands to claim for our king.

Journal 2:
Today, we encountered a group of native people on the shores of the land we have discovered. At first, they seemed wary of us, but as we offered them gifts and tried to communicate with them, they opened up to us. They showed us their way of life, their customs, and their traditions. It was a fascinating experience to interact with people who are so different from us. I realize now that there is so much more to this world than we ever knew.

Native Person

Journal 3:
Before the arrival of the Europeans, our tribe lived peacefully in harmony with nature. We hunted, fished, and gathered food from the land. However, when the Europeans arrived, everything changed. They brought diseases that decimated our population, weapons that threatened our way of life, and new ideas that clashed with our traditions. Our once peaceful existence was shattered, and we were forced to adapt to this new reality.

Journal 4:
The arrival of the Europeans had a lasting impact on our way of life. Our lands were taken from us, our resources were plundered, and our people were enslaved. We were forced to abandon our traditional practices and adopt the ways of our conquerors. The long-term effects of European colonization have been devastating for our people, and we continue to struggle to preserve our culture and way of life in the face of overwhelming odds.
