The total pressure exerted by a mixture of ideal gases is equal to the sum of the partial pressures of the individual gases.
So, when gases A and B are put together in a single 1 liter container, the total pressure exerted will be:
Total pressure = Pressure of gas A + Pressure of gas B
Total pressure = 2 atm + 3 atm
Total pressure = 5 atm
Therefore, the total pressure exerted when both gases are put together in a single 1 liter container will be 5 atm.
