Lesson Procedure:
1. Warm-up (5 minutes): Begin the lesson by reviewing any previous Spanish vocabulary that the students have learned. Encourage students to say and point to the objects in Spanish.
2. Introduction to new vocabulary (10 minutes): Show the students the flashcards with pictures of common objects. Display one flashcard at a time and ask the students to identify the object in Spanish. Say the word out loud and have the students repeat after you. Use gestures or body language to help students understand the meaning of the words.
3. Practice (10 minutes): Divide the students into small groups and provide each group with a set of flashcards. Instruct the students to take turns showing a flashcard to their group members and saying the word in Spanish. Encourage peer-to-peer learning and provide assistance as needed.
4. Consolidation (5 minutes): Bring the class back together and conduct a quick review of the new vocabulary words. Ask individual students to come up to the front of the class and show a flashcard to their classmates. The rest of the class should say the word in Spanish.
5. Closure (5 minutes): End the lesson by setting a homework task for the students. Encourage them to practice using the new vocabulary words at home with their families. Remind them to be ready for a quiz on the vocabulary words in the next lesson.
Assessment: Informal assessment can be conducted throughout the lesson by observing students' participation and understanding of the new vocabulary words.
