In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the ongoing conflict and human rights violations, including widespread sexual violence, could be classified as crimes against humanity and war crimes. In Sudan, the genocide in Darfur and other atrocities committed by the government against its own citizens could also be considered crimes against humanity. In South Sudan, the ethnic violence and atrocities committed by various armed groups would also qualify as crimes against humanity and war crimes.
