aPPT BLOOD MEANS

APTT stands for activated partial thromboplastin time, which is a laboratory blood test used to evaluate how well the blood clots. It measures the time it takes for a clot to form in a blood sample after a series of chemicals are added to trigger the clotting process. A prolonged APTT may indicate a bleeding disorder or a risk of excessive bleeding, while a short APTT may indicate a risk of excessive blood clotting.
