A) decreased poverty rates
One of the accomplishments of communism under Mao Zedong was the decrease in poverty rates in China. Through collectivization of agriculture and land reforms, Mao aimed to redistribute wealth more equally among the Chinese population. This led to an improvement in the living standards of many Chinese citizens and a reduction in poverty levels during his rule. However, it is important to note that this accomplishment was accompanied by significant human rights abuses and economic mismanagement.
