To find the slope of the line passing through the points (-9, -5) and (1, -5), we use the formula:
m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
m = (-5 - (-5)) / (1 - (-9))
m = 0 / 10
m = 0
Since the slope is 0, the equation of the line is of the form y = c, where c is the y-coordinate of the points (i.e. -5). Therefore, the equation in slope-intercept form is:
y = -5
