What is tenochtitlan

Tenochtitlan was the capital city of the Aztec Empire, located on an island in Lake Texcoco in what is now Mexico City. It was founded in 1325 and served as the political, religious, and cultural center of the Aztec civilization. Tenochtitlan was known for its impressive architecture, advanced engineering, and bustling marketplaces.
