First, we calculate the rise (change in y) and the run (change in x) between two points on the line:
(2,1) and (4,2):
Rise = 2 - 1 = 1
Run = 4 - 2 = 2
(6,3) and (8,4):
Rise = 4 - 3 = 1
Run = 8 - 6 = 2
Now, we look for a pattern in the rise and run values. Since the rise and run values are equal for both sets of points, we can conclude that the slope of the line is constant.
The slope is rise / run = 1 / 2.
Therefore, the slope of the line is 1/2.
