An exponent tells you how many times the base should be multiplied by itself.
If the exponent is equal to 0, then any base raised to the power of 0 will result in 1.
The Zero Power Rule states that any base raised to the power of 0 is equal to 1. For example, for any number 'a', a^0 = 1. This rule also applies when dividing like bases raised to different powers. For example, (a^m)/(a^n) = a^(m-n), if m > n.
