Today, I find myself conflicted. I, Levino, son of Benton Causewell and cousin of Sir Ominer, have caused trouble and now my Lord Sir Ominer has enlisted me in the crusade. I had always believed that joining the crusade was a choice, but it seems that my wishes have been disregarded. Nevertheless, I feel no anger towards my Lord Sir Ominer, as he has been a father figure to me ever since my own father's passing.
Sir Ominer raised me from the age of seven and cared for me when I broke my leg. He has been my mentor, teaching me everything I know. He once advised me to never simply introduce myself as Levino, cousin of Sir Ominer, but to always mention that I am my father's son. Whether my father is alive or not, I will always be his son.
While I acknowledge that the trouble I caused was wrong, I still harbor the desire to stay and not go on this crusade. However, I understand the responsibilities and duties that come with being a part of Sir Ominer's household. As per his request, I will write him anything I desire while I am away. Perhaps this will provide some solace and a means of connecting with him during my absence.
Though I may be torn about my upcoming journey, I must honor my Lord Sir Ominer's wishes and fulfill my duty. I will carry on with the crusade, not only for him but also for the teachings and guidance he has bestowed upon me. May the future bring clarity and understanding as I navigate this new chapter in my life.
