For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
The colonists were upset about having to pay taxes without having a say in the matter. They felt that they were being unfairly burdened by the British government's actions. This grievance is a direct response to the Stamp Act of 1765, in which the British government imposed a tax on all printed materials in the colonies without the consent of the colonists. The colonists saw this as a violation of their rights and a form of taxation without representation. They believed that they should have a voice in decisions that affected their lives and their wallets.
