since i actually got the answer right (-20) i now know how u get it:
The answer is negative twenty. Here’s one way to find the answer.
First, to subtract a number, we add its opposite. The opposite of positive six is negative six. So, we add negative fourteen plus negative six.
Second, both numbers are negative. We know that Negative plus Negative equals Negative.
Negative fourteen plus negative six equals negative twenty.
So third, negative fourteen minus positive six equals negative twenty.

To find the difference between two integers, follow these steps:
1. Subtract the second integer from the first integer.
2. Use the rule that "subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive."
Now let's apply these steps to the given integers:
−14 − (+6)
1. Subtract 6 from -14, which gives you -20.
2. Using the rule, "subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive," you can rewrite the equation as:
-14 + 6 = -8
Therefore, the difference between -14 and +6 is -8.
