As of April 2021, Taal Volcano is currently at Alert Level 1, which means that it is in a state of "abnormal" activity. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has warned that the volcano could still erupt and that people should stay away from the volcano's crater and the surrounding areas.
