This may not help much but I don't like the answers, especially to 1 and 2.

For #1, ANY of those answers can be correct. I can buy home test kits that will measure almost anything.
Same for #2. There are many insect traps on the market. Any of those answers can be true depending upon which product is bought.
3. I think the answer to 3 is b BUT I have seen a thermometer set up that can read as precisely as can a probe and I've seen probe readout that are extremely precise.

1. To measure pH, you could use a water testing kit. A water testing kit typically includes pH strips or a pH meter. To measure pH, you would dip the pH strip into the water sample or submerge the pH meter probe into the water and read the pH value on the color scale or digital display provided in the kit.

2. An insect trap can work in a variety of ways, but the most common method is by attracting specific insects with bait or pheromones. Therefore, the correct answer would be D. It attracts specific insects by its smell. The trap releases a scent that mimics the insect's natural food source or pheromone, attracting the targeted insect. Once the insects are attracted, they enter the trap, where they may either get stuck on adhesive surfaces or get trapped in a net depending on the design of the trap.

3. The main difference between a thermometer and a temperature probe lies in their design and functionality. Both devices measure temperature, but a thermometer typically refers to a traditional instrument that uses a liquid or mercury-filled glass bulb and a scale to measure temperature. On the other hand, a temperature probe generally refers to a more modern digital device that uses a sensing element, such as a thermocouple or a resistance temperature detector (RTD), to measure temperature. Therefore, the correct answer would be C. A temperature probe measures temperature. Additionally, it's worth noting that some temperature probes may have a digital readout, so B is not the main difference between the two.
