not much. It's not a ballistic object.

Its radius from the spin axis of the earth will change very little because it is not moving far off the equator so it will feel little effect.

If you fly north from the equator for example you are already moving with the eastward speed of the earth at the equator and will end up east of your target to the north because your target is not moving east so fast. That is why hurricanes spin counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere. a particle headed north ends up east and a particle headed south ends up west of the low pressure center.

The Coriolis Effect is a phenomenon caused by the rotation of the Earth. It describes the apparent deflection of moving objects, such as air or water, as seen from a rotating reference frame, such as the Earth's surface. In the case of an airplane traveling from Ecuador to Kenya, its flight will indeed be impacted by the Coriolis Effect.

The Coriolis Effect causes moving air masses (winds) in the Northern Hemisphere to be deflected to the right, while in the Southern Hemisphere, they are deflected to the left. Since both Ecuador and Kenya are located in the Southern Hemisphere, the airplane will experience a leftward deflection due to the Coriolis Effect.

This deflection can affect the flight path of the airplane. On a long-distance flight, pilots must take into account the Coriolis Effect when planning their route. They need to make small course corrections to account for the leftward deflection and ensure they are on the desired track. Failure to consider the Coriolis Effect could result in the airplane drifting off course.

In addition to the Coriolis Effect, there are other factors that pilots need to consider, such as wind patterns and jet streams, which can also impact the flight path. Advanced navigation systems and weather forecast data are utilized to help aircraft navigate through these influences and arrive at their destination efficiently and safely.
