Ok so if you start at 3 and multiplies each term by 3. The answer and working out will be below.
Not sure if this will make sense but I'll try to make it easy.
x/3 + x/5 = 16
Multiply each side by 3
x + 3x/5 = 48
8x/5 = 48
8x = 240
x = 30

From Dina's information, 6 Grader's answer doesn't make sense. How did s/he get to that equation?

To start at 3 and multiply each term by 3, you can follow these steps:
1. Start with the number 3.
2. Multiply 3 by 3 to get the next term: 3 x 3 = 9.
3. Multiply 9 by 3 to get the next term: 9 x 3 = 27.
4. Continue this process of multiplying each term by 3 to get the next term.
Here's an example of the first few terms:
Term 1: 3
Term 2: 3 x 3 = 9
Term 3: 9 x 3 = 27
Term 4: 27 x 3 = 81
Term 5: 81 x 3 = 243
and so on...
You can continue this pattern of multiplying each term by 3 indefinitely to generate a sequence of terms.
