The second difference is the Roman R.G had a constitution. But it wasn't the same as we have our constitution. The Romans was unwritten. It was based on tradition, custom, and laws while ours focuses on the federal government and freedom.
The third difference is the dictators. In the US, a dictator means he is a cruel tyrant. But in ancient Rome, a dictator was an important public official.

Similarites-
The first similarity is that both the roman republic and the United States have a tripartite system. That means the government is made up of three branches. The three branches are legislative, judicial, and executive.
The second similarity is that both governments have the power to veto. The veto means "I forbid" in the United States only the president has the power to veto.

i cant put anymore because i hit the word limit in connexus, sorry!!

So i said this and hopefully this helps!

A similarity between the Romans and the US is they both have 3 branches in the government. They both as well have their government as a republic, and both also have the ability to veto. A difference between the Romans and the US is the different types of the 3 branches. The US's are the president, house and senate, people and states, and finally judges, while the Roman's were legislative, executive, and judicial. The Roman's also only allowed men to vote, while the US allows everyone to, and finally the Romans had a unwritten constitution.
Hope this helps
