A detailed illustration representing the main causes of the Civil War, depicted abstractly: sectionalism shown as a map showing the distinct regions of the United States, slavery interpreted as rusted shackles, and states' rights imagined as a balance scale. The causes should be connected with thin threads, signifying their interconnectedness. Ensure the image is engaging and contains no text.

What is the connection among sectionalism, slavery, and states’ rights as causes of the Civil War?

The southern states wanted slavery and the north didn't allow it which was the first situation then sectionalism happened between the north and south when new states like Cali wanted to be a free state, disrupting the balance of free and slave states which was the second situation and also south favored states rights and north wanted unity, which was the third situation and basically the south has had enough of it and left the union to be the confederacy. Thus the civil war started.

Slavery was what the Southerners thrived by, It's what they relied on for their wellbeing. Which led to many arguments between the north and south, such as the Kansas-Nebraska act. Which played a big part in the civil war. The states rights also played a big roll in the civil war. Since the constitution, there were many arguments on who should have more rights, the states or the government. When Abraham Lincoln was elected president in 1860, the southerners felt wronged in a way. Since Abraham Lincoln was a anti-slavery republican. Lincoln wasn't even on ten of the southern states ballots. Which led to the southerners leaving the union and creating their own country. When Abraham got word that the southern states left, he sent his troops to force the southern states to rejoin the union. Thus, the civil war began
