Radio signals travel at a rate of 3x10^8 meters per second.how many seconds would it take for a radio signal to travel from a satellite to the surface of earth if the satellite is orbiting at a height of 3.6x10^7 meters?

A. 8.3 seconds
B. 1.2x10^-1 seconds
C. 1.08x10^16 seconds
D. 10.8x10^15 seconds------

Not sure if im correct can someone check my answer?

You guys are wrong!!

I just took the test and it is B.

yall know that posting the letter isnt helpful because the answer could be the same its just that teachers might switch up the letter combos

F4rt bucket agrees with guy above

anonymous is right it's b

b) 9.217 x 10^7

16) radio signals travel at a rate of 3 x 10^8 meters per second. how many seconds would it take for a radio signal to travel from a satellite to the surface of earth if the satellite is orbiting at a height of 3.6x10^7 meters? (hint: time is distance divided by rate.)
b) 1.2 x 10^-1 seconds

17) does the table represent an exponential function?

21) in an appropriate environment guppies reproduce at an astounding rate. a population of breeding guppies doubles every 2 months. how many guppies will there be after 6 months if the beginning population is 180 guppies?
a) 1,440 guppies

22) mark raises guppies in an aquarium. he finds out that guppies reproduce very rapidly and the number doubles every month. He starts out with 10 guppies, and the function y = 10(2^x) models the number of guppies he will have after x months. which graph represents this function?
b) the graph with a positive curve trend. there are two graphs with a
positive cure trend, the answer for this question is the graph with a
larger positive curve trend.

a) $18,112.45

@guardian angel

idk what test tou got but all those questions are completely difrent from mine

Thanks oobleck

Ikr, the answer to my first one is - 1/6 and is C. The question is -(6)^-1

No, that's how far it will travel in 3.6x10^7 seconds

distance = speed * time

You want the time, so divide distance by speed
3.6x10^7 / 3x10^8 = 1.2x10^-1

Note also that if you had been correct with D, that is not scientific notation, since the number must be less than 10. C and D are the sama value, but only C is scientific notation.

they change the questions guys ABCD dosent work on tests.

saddly

the questions even change a little.

for 16 i got:
Radio signals travel at a rate of 3 × 108 meters per second. How many seconds would it take for a radio signal to travel from a satellite to the surface of Earth if the satellite is orbiting at a height of 9.6 × 106 meters? (Hint: Time is distance divided by rate.)
A. 3.2 × 102 seconds
B. 3.2 × 10–2 seconds
C. 3.13 × 101 seconds
D. 2.88 × 1015 seconds
read your own questions carfully or you will fail

Good luck my guys.
