Once you've figured out how many ounces or pounds 3 kg are, then you should easily decide.

Hm..

Let’s rule out C and A. C is obviously too heavy, and A is obviously too light.
Also, is the cat 5 years old in human years or cat years?
I also feel like a peach is very light compared to 3,000 grams. I feel it is most likely B.
Best regards,
A young student.

To determine which object is likely to have a mass close to 3 kilograms, we can use our knowledge of common weights and make an educated guess.

A small feather is very light and typically weighs only a few grams. It is unlikely to have a mass close to 3 kilograms. This means option A is unlikely.

A five-year-old cat can vary in size and weight depending on the breed, but on average, they weigh between 4 and 5 kilograms. Since 3 kilograms is within this range, option B is possible.

A grown elephant is a large, heavy animal. Adult elephants can weigh anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 kilograms, depending on the species. Given this range, it is highly unlikely that an elephant would have a mass close to 3 kilograms. This means option C is unlikely.

A peach is a small fruit typically weighing around 100-150 grams. This is significantly less than 3 kilograms, so option D is unlikely.

Based on this analysis, the most likely option is B: Five-Year-Old-Cat. However, it's important to note that this is only an estimation and the actual mass of a five-year-old cat can vary. If you have access to a weighing scale, it would be more accurate to measure the cat's weight directly.
