I have 8

so these were all wrong, I got 2/8
It's not their fault I probably have a different test
So for anyone in Connexus who has Graphing Linear Functions Quiz with 8 questions its:
C : –2

B : -3/2
C : its a graph
C : its a graph
C : -2
B : 2

To clear up who's right "girl in red" is correct.

clear response for people who still need help.

btw this is for kids who are in connexus academy, algebra, unit 2 lesson 6, graphing linear functions quiz.

holy crap! why don't you just type (-3,3) and -2/3 instead of all those words?

The line through (-3,3) and (1,-5) has slope -8/4 = -2
you should have plotted the two points, and you'd have seen that it slopes downward!

C is wrong. slope is y-change divided by x-change. You have it just backwards.

Did you graph the line for the tub? You could easily have seen that the volume decreased by 2 for every 3 hours, for a slope of -2/3. Why guess, when you have the graph? You really need to bone up on this stuff!

for the table, clearly y goes down 3 when x goes up 2, for a slope of -3/2

for #5, clearly, (-4,0) does not satisfy y = x/3 - 4

the line through (3,4) and (2,6) does not have slope 1. y goes up while x goes down.

The line through (–2, –1) and (2, –3) has slope -2/4 = -1/2
Two lines are perpendicular when their slopes are negative reciprocals. That is, their product is -1.
So, the line you want has slope 2

Serious study and/or some one-on-one help is evidently in need here.

*Guys your spelling mistakes are driving me nuts.

I told you how to find the slopes.

find how much y changes
find how much x changes
divide the y-change by the x-change
That is the slope of the line.

if you google slope of line you will find many examples, including youtube videos of how to do it.

If you are studying online, you can find many explanations of the topic, most of them in much more detail than I want to go into. This site is a great place for getting help with specific problems, but not for covering a topic in general. That is what your study materials are for.
