Find the value of this integer expression: − 2(+ 3 +− 4 +− 8 ++ 7) .

With Distribution and without Distribution.

with: (-2)(+3) + (-2)(-4) + ...

without: (-2)(3-4-8+7) = (-2)(-2) = 4

This whole portfolio is annoying, especially because it has 8 questions 0-0

@steve can you pls finnish it may have been 2 years but still lol

ok so i ended up figuring it out. here's my work:

Calculation with Distribution:
(-2)(+3) + (-2)(-4)
(-2)(-8) + (-2)(7)=
-6 + 8 + 16 - 14=
4

With the second to last row of work, those are all the answers to the numbers in the parenthesis. With all of them added up, you get the answer of 4. I hope this helped you! Let me know if there's anything else that needs explaining cause don't worry, I was confused too. :P

𝙷𝚎𝚢 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕘𝕚𝕣𝕝 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚎𝚕𝚕 𝚖𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚒𝚖 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝?

Find the value of this integer expression: − 2( 3+ −4 + −8 +7)
With Distribution and without Distribution.

This is my answer with distribution can u check it?
2(3+-4+-8+7)=
(-2)(3)+(-2)(-4)(-2)(-8)+(-2)(7)=
-6+8+16-14=
4

And then this is without
-2(3+-4+-8+7)=
-2(-2)=
4
Pls anyone let me know as soon as possible thanks

no one: People in the questions: hey @𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕘𝕚𝕣𝕝

Hey @𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕘𝕚𝕣𝕝 I need help badly😭 so what was the one w/o distribution? Thank you so much this portfolio is so hard😩

actually nope im wrong im confused af

for real cat im failing so bad 😭🤕😩

@Cat and @𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕘𝕚𝕣𝕝 are correct thank you so much

Hey 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕘𝕚𝕣𝕝 do I write it like this?:

-2(3+-4+-8+7)=
(-2)(3)+(-2)(-4)(-2)(-8)+(-2)(7)=
-6+8+16-14=
4

And then just let me know what the non distributive one is☺️☺️☺️ thanks😂😂👌👌

@cat is my dad so yea

Hi I just want to say I think you write it as (-2)(3)+(-2)(-4)+(-2)(-8)+(-2)(7)-6+8+16-14=4

teachers we arent cheating we are probem solving and working together instead of by our selves if we live far apart we will find a way to grow and connect we are powerful you cant stop us we will win

Not so epic

And here is the one without distributive property:

-2 (3 + -4 + -8 + 7)

-2 (-2)

= 4

I think the answer is the same on both, but i'll try figuring it out for you

im still workin on this bc i forgot about it and i have no clue what the portfolio answers

I just found this too lol and same @bruh momento

mhm yea im the 3rd to find it out of @bruh momento and @watch yo jet big fella lol

With

2(3+-4+-8+7)=
(-2)(3)+(-2)(-4)(-2)(-8)+(-2)(7)-6+8+16-14=4

Without
-2(3+-4+-8+7)=-2(-2)= 4

i think..?

Here is the answer for the one with distributive property:

-2 (3 + -4 + -8 + 7)

-2 (3) + -2 (-4) + -2 (-8) + -2 (7)

= 4

thansk goose for the help and evry one sles who answered and i like having a place to talk and ask questions its like jishka turns everything into a group project we each do whatever we are good at this is made to connect kids and help them better their learning and so we build strong bonds and show empathy by helping people who are stuck as the next gen we have done prety well so far we dont let people push us around we stand up and we work to ether even if we havent a clue who th other person is the world is so negative so than you all for being there for me and everyone else this is our world who said we have to grow up to rule it

Remember, it doesn't matter if you use distributive property or not. Because it will be the same answer in the end.

Im STUCK ON THIS!

um

im in 7th grade and i dont know what this is this is for a portfollio LOL

I needed help on the one without distribution so hard I was crying. Thank you so much for your help. It cleared me brain. Now I can think like I do math. Not a person up at 10 pm.

at the end of the first one should be (-8)(+7). multiply all of the mini equations and then add them up i think.
