you want to draw an enlargement of a design that is printed on a card that is 4 in. 5 in. you will be drawing this on a piece of paper that is 8 1/2 in. by 11 in. what are the dimensions of the largest complete enlargement you can make???

plz include explanation of how you got the answer.

8.5/4 = 2.125

11/5 = 2.20

Therefore you would have to enlarge more to fill the 11 inch length dimension. In doing so, you would lose or "crop" some of some of the photo in the width dimension.

If you expand the 4" dimension to 8.5", the 5 inch length dimension becomes
5 x 2.125 = 10.625 inches

You end up with an 8 1/2 x 10 5/8 inch enlargement

4. Is 8/4 = 24/12
5. Is 8 1/2 in. By 10 5/8 in.
And 6. Is 20 ft.
