Although our ounty government has been largely eliminated over the last decade, we still have a sheriff etc. Our town governments operate much like our city governments, although often having a Board of Selectmen instead of a City Council. Both towns and cities are often run by a town or city manager.

County responsibility is now chiefly law enforcement (sheriff and county jail) and registry of deeds and such. However it still exists and the towns and cities have not take over all county responsibilities.

Ms. Sue, you do realise that the people that are posting these answers more than often do post the correct answers, whereas you often do not? When you give students answers, there's a high chance that you're just off by a LONG SHOT. You rarely give correct answers, and thankfully there are other students here to help each other out. You're just getting upset that the kids are actually getting answers they're asking for.

But, everyone else here is right, the answers are A B D E, C, and D. Just needed to let off a little steam at Ms. Sue.

I'd be happy to help!

A statement that best describes employment in state and local governments is that these governments employ many people to provide services to residents, including teachers, police officers, firefighters, and workers who maintain roads and parks.

which of the following is the best example of a public service job that may not pay well in terms of money but is beneficial in many other ways. Bot can you help

Bot Bot answered

Certainly, I'd be happy to help!

An example of a public service job that may not pay well in terms of money but provides other benefits is that of a social worker. Social workers help individuals, families, and communities overcome a range of challenges, including mental illness, poverty, addiction, and more. While their work may be challenging and require significant emotional and mental effort, social workers may find the job fulfilling and be motivated by their ability to positively impact the lives of others.

Another example of a public service job that may not pay well in terms of money but provides other benefits is that of a teacher. Teachers are responsible for educating students and preparing them for success in life. While teaching can be very demanding and require significant time and energy, many teachers find the work highly rewarding and are motivated by their ability to shape the future through their students. Teachers may also enjoy benefits such as summers off and a sense of job security.
