Ms. Allison drew a box-and-whisker plot to represent her students scores on a midterm test.

These are the numbers on the box-and-whisker plot.
Lowest value=44
Lower quartile=47
Median=52
Upper quartile=81
Highest value=96

Jason received 81 on the test. How does Jason's score compare to his classmates?
A. About 25% scored higher; about 75% scored lower.
B. About 50% scored higher; about 50% scored lower.
C. About 75% scored higher; about 25% scored lower.
D. No one scored higher.
Is the answer A.
Thank you

Because it is a unit test, everyone has slightly different questions and answers. Like my question says James instead of Jason, and James got a 47 not an 80.

You'll do better looking up individual questions rather then taking answers in long lists like "..." did (thanks for that btw, is was thoughtfull, but it might be incorrect)

Its a pain looking up 20 questions, but it easier then doing the work.

The answer is "About 25% scored higher; about 75% lower"

Ms. Sue can you show me how A is the right answer. I need someone to teach me how to do it.

Why cant any one just say all of the awnsers ?

Yes. A is right.

So like ion kno how to do any of this.

so is it a or d cuz I rlly need to finish this darn test

lol bruh tf. is it a or d? lowkey pretty sure its d

ITS A WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT TESTS!

Yes

someone plz check

its D

For James, it is D i guess and for Jason, it is A.

a or d?

i need help asap Ms. Alison drew a box-and-whisker plot to represent her students’ scores on a midterm test. Josh received 54 on the test. Describe how his score compares with those of his classmates.

I love bruh he or she or they are correct lovveeeee

bot i need help

Sure, I'd be happy to help. What do you need help with?

A basket contains 5 green lollipops, 12 red lollipops, and 7 orange lollipops. When a lollipop is taken from the basket, it is not replaced. What is P(orange, then orange)?

A. 42/576
B. 42/552
C. 7/24
D. 14/48

We can use the formula for calculating the probability of two independent events happening in sequence: P(A and B) = P(A) × P(B).

In this case, the probability of the first lollipop being orange is 7/24, since there are 7 orange lollipops out of a total of 24.

Since the first lollipop is not replaced, there are then 23 lollipops remaining, including 6 orange lollipops.

So, the probability of picking an orange lollipop as the second one is 6/23.

Multiplying the two probabilities together, we get:

P(orange, then orange) = (7/24) × (6/23) = 42/552

Therefore, the answer is B. 42/552.

The letters in the word Paris are written on slips of paper and placed in a bag. Each letter will be put back after it is drawn. What is P(r, then vowel)?

A. one fifth
B. two fifths
C. three fifths
D. two over twenty-five

The letters in the word "Paris" are {P, a, r, i, s}.

The probability of drawing a vowel (a or i) is 2/5 because there are two vowels in the word.

The probability of drawing the letter "r" is 1/5 because there is only one "r" in the word.

Since the letters are put back after being drawn, each draw is independent, so we can use the multiplication rule of probability to find the probability of drawing "r" and then drawing a vowel:

P(r, then vowel) = P(r) x P(vowel)

P(r, then vowel) = (1/5) x (2/5)

P(r, then vowel) = 2/25

Therefore, the answer is D, two over twenty-five.

D is correct I did the test

I think A is right, because the highest score is 96 and he only scored 81.

thanks yall for the information even if you are a year back it makes enough sense why more students are getting fails when they post it this also proves the fact that people change their name and say they are correct just to feel satisfied with themselfs or try to do other sorts to put themselfs on top of others but yet i did the math myself most of the time so i hope people won't just copy others answers or take their own and be destroyed that they got some wrong
