I think Alex is wrong because when I did the math, it equaled to 7 and Alex got 7 too and I thought if she got it right then I am correct so Alex is wrong because 7 was the real answer.

To determine whether Alex's reasoning is correct or not, let's go through the process of solving the equation to see if it holds true.

The equation in question is 21 divided by 3, which can be written as:

21 ÷ 3 = ?

To solve this division problem, we divide 21 by 3:

21 ÷ 3 = 7

So, the answer is indeed 7. Therefore, Alex's reasoning is incorrect. The equation 21 divided by 3 equals 7 is true.
