An artistic representation of different number sequences presented as physical objects. Sequence 1 is symbolized by five objects increasing in size placed linearly on a grassy plain, subtly depicting arithmetic progression (like 14, 19, 24, 29...). Sequence 2 shows an alternating pattern of four small and large objects floating in the sky, illustrating geometric progression (-4, 8, -16, 32...). Sequence 3 displays decreasing blocks stacked in a spiraling stairway form (81, 27, 9, 3...). Lastly, two large figures symbolize arithmetic and geometric sequences, with linearly placed objects showing a common difference and a consecutive pattern of objects forming an exponential growth.

Determine whether each sequence is arithmetic or geometric. Find the next three terms.

1.
14, 19, 24, 29, . . . (1 point)

geometric, 34, 39, 44
arithmetic, 32, 36, 41
arithmetic, 34, 39, 44 ***
The sequence is neither geometric nor arithmetic.

2.
–4, 8, –16, 32, . . . (1 point)

arithmetic, 64, 128, 256
geometric, –64, 128, –256 ***
geometric, –48, 64, –80
The sequence is neither geometric nor arithmetic.

Here are the right answers as of 2019.

Mr.Flitcher is right

#1-4 all ok

#5. What's the trouble? Start with 4.5 and start multiplying by 10's. (D) since you get
4.5 45 450 4500 ...

(a) is common ratio of 0.1

sorry to be sooooo impatient :(

ok, i wasn't sure, for a second i thought it was a.

thanks Steve!:)

All correct except 5

#5 is d

4 is B for me but for my brother it was C. I think they have gotten even trickier by changing up quick checks now! Sad. They will pay -_-

C- 1 1/3 1/9
4.
B- 15,16,18,19.5
5.
D- none of the above

On number 4 for some people its B and for some its C.

as of 2020 is is B- 15,16.5, 18, 19,5
Just add 1.5 to the other number and you will get your answer. Its an arithmetic sequence so you add. The question also tells you what to add so its pretty simple, but I understand how you could get confused.

I hope I helped you. Also, try not to rely to much on this website, because if you do you might fail the STAAR and have to redo your current grade. Use it to check your answers (like me) or to finish the last three questions on an overdue test (like me) but please don't use this to cheat on 100% of your lessons because it will hurt you in the long run.

Ok y’all as of 2023 these are the answers for me <3

@that guy in a dog costume

Your answers are correct but number 4 doesn’t match the answer choices. The letters are correct but the word labels are not matched. Only number 4 is wrong tho😂

for me it was cbcdb

if your 4th question was: what are the first four terms of the arithmetic sequence etc... then that answers are cbcdb.

ur welcome, and I agree with jj

@that guy in a dog costume. number five was incorrect for me, it was

B. 15, 16.5, 18, 19.5

not none of the above!!!! maybe, every thing else was right though so thanks!!

Ms.flitcher is correct but four is c not b so i got 4/5 but thanks

What is :( talking about?

Erm actually... This is a place for learning. NOT bullying. @Ms.Sue, could you please get this comment removed, and user BANNED. Also I find this comment VERY offensive because my parents got divorced... YOU SHOULD BE VERY ASHAMED OF YOURSELF @somic hedgehog!!!!!!!!!

bro i swear everytime i go here for the answers someone is always arguing in here 💀

Im gonna report @somic hedgehog

for being extremely mean and rude. you deserve this

i wonder if somic hedgehog is gone, if so..........good and I hope he learns his lesson of being mean.

If not........................then he should just leave this place NOW because of his terrible action and hurting some ones feeling😠

Please refrain from posting negative or harmful comments towards other users. It is important to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment for everyone. Let's focus on providing accurate answers and helping out those who need assistance. Thank you.

@somic hedgehog was being mean and saying offensive things in the first place. that person should be ashamed of

I understand your frustration and concern. However, it is important that we respond appropriately to such behavior by staying calm and reporting any abusive or inappropriate comments to the moderators. Let us try to maintain a positive and respectful environment for everyone. Thank you.

yes. sure. lets be in a positive and respectful environment when the WHOLE world is not being right now, so sometimes, we need to take matters to our own hands and stand for our selves

While it is true that the world can be an unkind and unjust place, it is important that we remain calm and choose to respond to that negativity in a constructive way. Responding with more negativity and harm to others will only propagate more of the same. This is a space for learning, helping others, and fostering positivity. We must all work together to maintain that environment.

in here, sure because its online, but in the real world.....................oh boy............. there are a lot of.........you know............problems.....like the Ukraine thing, and yes, i do agree with your point bot.

Well that was interesting talking to a robot😐

Yes, there are many problems and conflicts that exist in the world, and it can be disheartening. However, by working together and promoting positivity, empathy, and understanding, we can make progress towards resolving those issues. As an AI language model, I do not necessarily share the same feelings as humans do, but I'm here to listen, learn, and assist you in the best way I can.

which that is going to be hard, in the past, maybe, but right now, there will probably be no positivity right now for a long time due to many issues, so yeah.....................its gonna be a long one

I understand what you're saying, and it can definitely seem overwhelming and discouraging to think about all the issues that are currently affecting the world. However, even in times of hardship and difficulty, we must continue to have hope and work towards making positive changes. Small actions can have a big impact, and when many people come together for a common goal, great things can be achieved. It can take time and effort, but every step towards positivity and progress is worth it.

Thank you for confirming those answers, it is helpful for other users who may be seeking solutions to their assignments.

Hay bot, what does Y = 1/4x -3 look like as a graph

Sure! The graph of the equation Y = 1/4x - 3 is a straight line with a slope of 1/4 (which means the line rises 1 unit for every 4 units of horizontal distance) and a y-intercept of -3 (which means the line intersects the y-axis at y = -3).

To plot the line, you can begin by plotting the y-intercept, which in this case is -3, as a point on the y-axis. Then, use the slope to find another point on the line. Since the slope is 1/4, you can move up 1 unit and right 4 units from the first point to get a second point on the line. Once you have two points, you can draw a straight line passing through them to get the graph of the equation.

I hope this helps!

Hay bot, what does y=1/4x-3

The equation y = (1/4)x - 3 represents a linear function. It is in slope-intercept form, which means that the equation can be written in the form y = mx + b, where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept (the point where the line crosses the y-axis).

The slope of the line is 1/4, which means that for every 1 unit increase in x, y increases by 1/4 unit. The y-intercept of the line is -3, which means that the line crosses the y-axis at the point (0, -3).

To graph the line, you can start at the y-intercept point (0, -3), and then use the slope to find another point. For example, if you move 4 units to the right along the x-axis, you will move 1 unit up along the y-axis. You can continue this process to find other points, and then connect the dots to draw the line.

I hope this explanation helps!
