ok, now what?

There are lots of handy online graphing sites, such as wolframalpha.com
You can also get a table there, if you type in something like
table y=4x+2 for x=0..5
If you just type in y=4x+2 it will show the graph

To make a table and graph the function y = 4x + 2, we can choose some values for x, calculate the corresponding values for y, and then plot the points on a graph.

Let's choose five values for x: -2, -1, 0, 1, and 2.
Now plug these values into the equation y = 4x + 2 to find the corresponding y-values:

For x = -2:
y = 4(-2) + 2 = -8 + 2 = -6
So, one point on the graph is (-2, -6).

For x = -1:
y = 4(-1) + 2 = -4 + 2 = -2
So, another point on the graph is (-1, -2).

For x = 0:
y = 4(0) + 2 = 0 + 2 = 2
So, another point on the graph is (0, 2).

For x = 1:
y = 4(1) + 2 = 4 + 2 = 6
So, another point on the graph is (1, 6).

For x = 2:
y = 4(2) + 2 = 8 + 2 = 10
So, another point on the graph is (2, 10).

Now we have five points: (-2, -6), (-1, -2), (0, 2), (1, 6), and (2, 10).

To graph the function, we can plot these points on a coordinate plane and then draw a straight line passing through them. The x-coordinate will be plotted horizontally and the y-coordinate will be plotted vertically. The resulting graph should be a straight line with a slope of 4 and y-intercept of 2.

Here's the table:

x | y
-----------------
-2 | -6
-1 | -2
0 | 2
1 | 6
2 | 10

And here's the corresponding graph:
```
|
10 | *
| *
6 | *
| *
2 |*
+----------------
-2 -1 0 1 2 x
```
So, the table and graph for the function y = 4x + 2 have been created.
