8 = 22 x - 2
Add 2to both sides
10 = 22 x
22 x = 10
x = 10 / 22 = 2 ∙ 5 / 2 ∙ 11 = 5 / 11
y = 8 x - 2
y = 8 ∙ 5 / 11 - 2 = 40 / 11 - 2 = 40 / 11 - 22 / 11 = 18 / 11
