(-1,-1), (0,0) and (1,1). The four midpoints are -3/4, -1/4, +1/4, and +3/4. Each vertical strip has a width of 1/2. The lengths of the 4 strips are: -27/64-(-3/4); -1/64-(-1/4); 1/4 - 1/64; and 3/4-27/64; simplifying these, you get 21/64, 15/64, 15/64,
For the first one i think the integral is from -1 to 1 for the two functions, because they intersect at (-1,1) (0,0) and (1,-1)

yes! thank you!
so we would get 9.05584?
So the total would be 1353.333 feet?
I am confused on how to do this. Will you please help?
Ok, so exactly how would I find the amount of water? I am confused now.
Thank you!!
Well that was my issue with the second one is I originally got that answer but it isn't an option.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Oh thank you!!!
for the second integral i got (sqrt 3)/60 how did you get (sqrt 3)/120?
I know it is pi (integral from zero to 1)then I get confused
So the answer would be 1.0947?
Thank you!!!!
So my updated answer would be that the possible error is the volume of the cylinder is 63.87 in^3?
r = 4 in. h = 12 in. V = pi*r^2 * h = 3.14*4^2 * 12 = 602.88 m^3. r = 4.2 in. h = 12.2 in. V = 3.14*4.2^2 * 12.2 = 675.75 in^3 675.75-602.88 =72.87 in^3? is that right?
oh ok thank you!!!! sorry
wait its 3 right?
Yes I read it I still don't get it and 0 isn't an answer choice.
so the answer is none?
ok THANK YOU!!!!!!!
