After a rock layer is eroded, which additional event must occur to create an unconformity, or a gap in the geologic record?

a. an earthquake or motion along a fault.
b. new deposits of sediment must build up on the eroded area.
c. folding of sedimentary rock layers.
d. a volcanic eruption.

Is this C? My lesson gives a definition for unconformity as "a rock or sediment surface separating two layers of different ages."

Correct :D

You don't tell them what to do! SS is hard, mang.

This actually helps a lot, it's not that we don't study but really the school doesn't always provide enough information and if they do it's difficult to find. I knew most of the questions on the test, but some I had no clue how to answer.

HAHAHA everybody from connexus goes here and openstudy

yeah c is right and I am a Conexus student2!!!!!!!!!

I don't think there is necessarily a problem with cheating on this site, because once answers are explained, and people are told why that answer is correct, it's really just the same as if you were to ask your teacher or learning coach for help with a problem. I AM against people who just drop the answer, though.

Its ok for people to help others. You shouldn't be like " THIS IS THE ANSWER."

If their not doing that, then it isn't cheating. NOW THE DIFFERENCE.

Do you have the whole test?

So the correct answer is c?

Connexus must let everyone cheat huh...
